Nia Joyful Movement classes are based on the dance arts, the martial arts, and the healing arts. Music gives you the inspiration to choose movement that feels good, in your own way and in your own time. Classes focus on awareness of your body sensations so that you can make choices that bring joy and pleasure to your body and life. The class can be done seated or standing.
The instructor, Suzanne Cohen, is a retired psychologist. She has lived in Newton for over 45 years. Since 1998 she has been teaching classes in The Nia Technique, both in person and on zoom. Suzanne is also a vetted volunteer of Newton at Home.
Please contact Suzanne at [email protected] to sign up for the class, inquire about pricing information, and to receive the Zoom call information which Suzanne administers. (This is not a NaH program, so all questions should be directed to Suzanne).
