The 600+ acre Cutler Park protects the largest freshwater marsh on the middle Charles River. It is a great spot for birdwatchers, and features eskers- river beds formed inside a glacier; drumlins- long hills formed by glaciers; and Kendrick pond. We will begin our hike at the Cutler Park parking lot off of Kendrick Street and take either the Healthy Heart Trail or venture a bit further to Powell’s Island (which is not actually an island) and back.
