In 1922, one of the most remarkable archaeological discoveries in history was made: the tomb of King Tutankhamun. But why was this discovery so significant? Who was the young pharaoh behind the famous golden mask? Tutankhamun died at just 19 years old—what caused his untimely death? Why was he buried in a relatively small tomb for someone of his status? What does his mummy reveal about his life and times? And where are the thousands of artifacts buried with him now?
